Avoidance: A Pathway to Suffering

Avoiding pain is a natural human inclination. Humans are smart. We are clever. We have learned and refined a myriad of strategies for avoiding pain. Our strategies typically work reasonably well in the short-term. The problem is often the degree of long-term workability (or lack thereof).
